Fusion Scheme and Implementation Based on SRTM1, ASTER GDEM V3, and AW3D30

Multi-source data fusion can help to weaken the original data’s shortcomings while improving accuracy. The experimental area in this research is Taiyuan City Shanxi Province, China. Using SRTM1 DEM, ASTER GDEM V3, and AW3D30 optimal resolution of Fused DEM determined by analyzing topographic factor information entropy. Then optimally weighted coefficient with root mean square error (RMSE) as criterion under different slope classes traversal exploration quantitatively evaluates effect. results show that 40 m terrain feature constraint city. fused decreases 33.8%, 57.9%, 11.5% for absolute (MAE), 36.3%, 54.6%, 1.4% standard deviation (STD), 32.8%, 54.2%, 9.7% compared SRTM1, AW3D30. average multiple intensities increased accuracy data. reduced errors, such slope, profile curvature, TPI, improved DEM’s representation capacity. Furthermore, confirm high complex mountainous regions.
